Chi Kung to Stay Young

Dr. Yang Jwing Ming, my teacher, uses the "pin yin" spelling of Chi Gung, which is, "qigong." I think most people recognize "Chi Kung," but do not quite know what it is. For our young students, who are still young, and for our older clients, who can GET YOUNG by using Chi Kung exercises, here is a quick explanation:

Some people are able to maintain their youthful vitality throughout much of life. Other than learning about the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chi Kung meditation, I don’t know of many ways this can be accomplished. Another way to master the science of longevity is to study Ayurvedic Medicine and Yoga. For this reason, it is important to learn about these things. In Western society, insufficient attention is given to the methods for dealing with the bioelectricity that keeps the body alive. Your generation will bring humanity to a deeper understanding of this aspect of health.

If you learn about Traditional Chinese Medicine, you can practice the way of collecting energy and storing it in the lower abdomen, the biobattery at your physical center. With abundant energy, you can do amazing things, even in activities with which you have very little experience. For example, you can motivate people with your energy. You can raise their spirits with all that you do. You can be a mediocre musician with a lot of love to give. High energy anything is of tremendous value. A high-energy half-wit can motivate somebody who has deficient energy, even if that somebody is a whole-wit. More importantly, you can be much more than mediocre if you know how to infuse your energy with practice, and abundant energy is the requirement if you want to have all your wit in order. Energy is everything, really.
